SPN vs VEL match Analysis and scorecard

 Womens T20 Challenge 2020

This was the first match of Womens T20 Challenge. 3 teams are participated in this Challenge. And the league will be held from 4th November to 9th November. This is great Initiative to promote Women's Cricket.

So on 4th November we had our first match of Challenge between Supernovas and Velocity.

Velocity won the toss and opted to bowl first

Playing XI :

Velocity: Mithali Raj (capt), Veda Krishnamurthy (vice-capt), Shafali Verma, Sushma Verma (wk), Ekta Bisht, Shikha Pandey, Manali Dakshini, Leigh Kasperek, Danielle Wyatt, Sune Luus, Jahanara Alam

Supernovas: Harmanpreet Kaur (capt), Jemimah Rodrigues (vice-capt), Chamari Atapattu, Priya Punia, Radha Yadav, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Shashikala Siriwardene, Poonam Yadav, Shakera Selman, Pooja Vastrakar, Ayabonga Khaka


As Supernovas were Batting first they want to set a good total. They got good start from Priya Punia and Athapaththu. Both build a good partnership but Kasperek took the Wicket of Priya Punia. And then Jamima Rodrigues also got out early. Then Athapaththpu and Harmanpreet Kaut build a great partnership. But then Athapaththu also got out. But Harmanpreet Aur was still playing and now Siriwardane was giving her support. But eventually both got out and then all their Batting lineup Collapsed. Amd they managed to score 126 in their 20 overs.

Now, it's time for the Velocitiy's Batting lineup to show their Excellence and win this match. But the didn't got good start as Danieal Wyatt got out in the First over only. Then Shafali Verma played some Excellent shots but eventually she also got out. And Mithali Raj also failed.

Then Veda Krishnamurthy and Sushma Verma build a handy partnership which build a great base to made their win easy. Both were playing well. And then beda got out but Sushma Verma were still playing and now Sune Luss was supporting her. Both also build a great partnership.

But at one time Sushma Verma got out and now the match was on the Supernovas side but Sune Luss was still there. She played very well and won the match for them.

This is how due collective team Effort Velocity were able to register a win in the first match.
